USB modules. There are 2 versions,
a serial (232) and a parallel (245), costing about ?25 each. They have
USB at one end, and a serial/parallel port at the other. There are linux
drivers already in the 2.4 kernel, or they supply Windows drivers. To
linux, they appear as /dev/ttyUSBx. Data rate is up to 1 Mbit/sec. See:
