TeXLive makes mention of bmeps, but it doesn't seem to be included in ubuntu (at least lucid) texlive-full. bmeps source is available from sourceforge as part of Dirk Krauses tools.
The dktools package depends on perl and on:
sudo aptitude install libssl-dev libsnmp-dev libgdbm-dev libtiff-dev libbz2-dev aptitude show netpbm-dev libjpeg-dev libpng-devThe last line should explain what the current packages are called, e.g.,
sudo aptitude install libnetpbm10-dev libjpeg62-dev libpng12-devThe traditional
./configure make sudo make install
should then do the trick.
