Feb. 1937 (at end of flood). 59 yrs. L.P Benezet, Walter Leich, Joseph Igelhart on front porch...(of house in)...Evansville, Ind[iana]. Grandpa B. visiting our former hometown (1916 - 24) with two old friends [cropped out of picture]...Grandpa was then in his next to last year as Supt. of Schools, Manchester N.H.

Louis Paul Benezet, 1876 - 1961. Probably close to his retirement in '48 at Dartmouth, age 70. He taught for ten more years in three colleges, Bradley University, Peoria, Ill. (his boyhood home), '48 - '50; Evansville College, Indiana, '50 - '52; and Jackson college (a small post-War college that lasted for about a decade) in Honolulu, around the years '56 to '60 when the first of two strokes ended teaching and took him off in May (3?) '61.
