Subj: Victorious in Disciplined Minds Case

Denis,

Receiving your letter tonight has brought me great joy. I feel that so often, when we take a stance on an issue like this, our efforts go unnoticed. It's thanks to your work that we were victorious on this count, and for that, you have my unending gratitude. Taking on an organization like the AIP is a lot of work.

The rest of my joy blurs dangerously with hilarity... to tell you the truth, I had almost forgotten about this effort. But when you google my name, the main result is my letter on Jeff's behalf. And while I'm proud that I got involved, the general tone of my letter, and especially my use of the word "prodigies," makes me horribly embarrassed by it. So hearing that it actually helped (very very slightly) Jeff's cause is utterly fantastic for me. It justifies a bit of my stupidity and arrogance.

Please do let me know about further efforts in the same vein, or at the very least any continuation to Jeff's struggle. I only found out about Jeff by listening to the radio, but I think that more students should be involved in these efforts. I'll be in college next year (somewhere, not majoring in physics), so I might be somewhat better informed, but nowhere close to optimally.
