If you're having trouble getting your Handspring Visor to synchronize with your windows PC by Infrared (IrDA), and you've already followed the instructions on Handspring's website (so you've installed SerIrComLib.prc and BeamSync or IrLink), try checking your Hotsync Manager settings: not only should you have the local serial hotsync set to the COM port which your computer's IrDA port is mapped to, but make sure that in the Modem panel you *don't* have the modem set to the same COM port.
