Trains to Swindon from Cambridge (To May 1997)

Cambridge and Swindon both have at least two trains per hour to and from
London. It takes an hour to get to London, about 15-25 mins to get to 
Paddington, and another hour to Swindon.

Given that the trains are so frequent, you can set off any time without
planning, and you will probably have a smooth trip. Here are the times 
anyway. Note that to get a cheap ticket you should aim to go on the 
trains marked by ****. The rule is that a "saver return" can only 
be used out of paddington on trains that depart after 6.20pm.

(times could be changed by engineering works; I will check on the
Thursday before we go.)

If you have a Y.P. or old person's railcard, you get a discount
of 1/3 as usual. 

A network southeast card gives no discount if your journey is
Friday-Sunday. (If you went there on the Saturday, it might be cheaper
with such a card)
