Trains to Swindon from Cambridge (To May 1997) ----------------------------- Cambridge and Swindon both have at least two trains per hour to and from London. It takes an hour to get to London, about 15-25 mins to get to Paddington, and another hour to Swindon. Given that the trains are so frequent, you can set off any time without planning, and you will probably have a smooth trip. Here are the times anyway. Note that to get a cheap ticket you should aim to go on the trains marked by ****. The rule is that a "saver return" can only be used out of paddington on trains that depart after 6.20pm. (times could be changed by engineering works; I will check on the Thursday before we go.)
