First Varsity match !!  June 9th 1996

On Angel and Greyhound meadows, Oxford, under warm sunshine

The Cambridge Team:
Matthew Chris Greg Graham Natalie Mindy Luke Alice Ian David M.
  [in the two non-Varsity games we were also joined by Andy from Bedford]

Playing the Oxford University team ("Ow"), we won 13-7
- Lowlights:
 * Throwing it away repeatedly when linetrapped.
- Highlights:
 * Natalie's layout catch at the sideline
 * Breaking out of the line force and flowing up
    to score in the far corner.
 * Ian catching Matthew's backhand huck with his nose

The varsity match was sandwiched between two
other games:
GB women (we won 13-2?)
 GB women handle beautifully; they kept on toasting
 us with short inside-outs, and they ran and ran!
- Highlights:
 * layout D by Chris!
 * footblock-mac by Graham, caught by the GB woman
     receiver
 * The D was intense and strong in this our first
   game
   [A team of four came and partied in Oxford the 
   night before, and played Fantasy League Ultimate
   during our games, scoring points for Ds. Could
   the above facts be related?]

Oxford sharks (we won 13-7?)
